Job Description
Join us as a Data Management Lead
- Take on an influential role as a data leader, where you’ll define the data strategy, guardrails and principles that govern the delivery of all fraud solutions
- You’ll also be responsible for the development of data strategy, embedding data architecture best practices, owning data quality of all key data elements and being responsible for data improvement and remediation initiatives and managing stakeholders across business units and the Group
- This is a chance to lead Fraud on the bank’s journey towards a single, bank-wide data marketplace, designing and owning fraud data products that will contribute towards the single data lake
What you'll do
This key role will see you making sure client services are effectively managed in line with regulatory and risk standard requirements, keeping client outcomes protected and impacts mitigated during any incidents through effective risk management working in collaboration with key stakeholders. You’ll be an evangelist for data, embedding its best practices across all Fraud operations to ensure Fraud has the right data foundations in place to support the bank’s AI transformation.
We’ll look to you to act as a business expert on the Data Strategy, Data Architecture and Data Management ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and enable Executive Data Owners (EDOs) of the business to discharge their accountabilities and responsibilities.
You’ll also:
- Actively engage with central data programmes in the Group across all aspects of data management, its quality, internal and external data sourcing and publishing
- Define data strategy, guardrails and principles to support long-term fraud analytics and AI driven decision making
- Develop and implement process for measuring and tracking data quality programmatically
- Lead data remediation efforts, addressing owned data issues and collaborating with bank-wide data engineering teams owning golden source data to deliver fixes
- Design and build fraud data products for integration into bank-wide data marketplace
The skills you'll need
To excel in this role, you’ll bring an understanding of an enterprise-wide DARM, DMOP and how it impacts business solutions. You’ll have detailed knowledge of the regulatory, industry, reputational and environmental risk issues relevant to Resilience and how it impacts the business area.
We’ll expect you to have a strong background in data governance, quality management, and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of fraud detection, prevention, or financial crime data would be advantageous.
You’ll also have:
- Experience of delivering business programmes with broad scopes, high levels of complexity, cross functional remits and challenging deliverables
- Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices in the industry
- An excellent track record of senior stakeholder management and engagement
- Expertise in data warehousing, data engineering, and database management
- Experience with data lineage, metadata management, and issue resolution
- The ability to design and build scalable data products in a large organisation
