Front Office Test Lead

Role Description

• Planning, coordinating, facilitating and conducting Front Office testing as part of wider Integration Testing with Middle Office, Back Office and Data
• Leading a multi-vendor team across multiple phases of testing (SIT/UAT/NFT/Regression), with competing priorities
• Working with the overall Programme Test Manager (and other Test Leads) to build a tailored E2E test approach, clearly calling out risks and effectively managing dependencies
• Developing a specific Front Office testing strategy, working with client teams to determine which instruments and markets are in scope of testing and leading/facilitating user profile testing
• Understanding the different types of data used within Investment Management, combined with knowledge/experience within Investment Management
• Collaborating with end clients to address any queries around front office testing
• Overseeing front office defects across all phases, providing input on validity of said defects, and supporting fix teams/clients, where required
• Support with programme reporting and be able to articulate testing progress to senior testing and programme stakeholders
• An awareness of automation and its benefits within front office testing

Professional Experience / Skillset

• Proven Testing experience on large/complex programmes
• Investment Management/Asset Servicing experience (knowledge and understanding of Asset Classes, Investment processes, Portfolio Management etc), either through industry or programme delivery
• Understanding of the use cases and applications of data within Investment Management (in particular, data attributes for asset types)
• Test management tool proficiency (JIRA/HP ALM)
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication
