Frontend Engineer - AI Defense Tech Start up - London - Up to £110k + Equity
We're working with a well-funded defence tech company building cutting-edge software and AI to power autonomous systems. They’re tackling technically complex and meaningful problems in national security, and are hiring elite engineers to shape their mission-critical products.
You’ll own the architecture and development of the core UI – building intuitive interfaces for commanding autonomous devices and making sense of large-scale sensor data. You’ll collaborate with experts across AI, networking, and robotics in a flat, high-autonomy engineering culture.
Responsibilities
- Architecting and building end-to-end user facing software
- Working with UX Designers to build slick and intuitive interfaces
- Liaise with customers to identify and iterate on requirements
- Collaborate with the wider engineering and AI team, on wider technical problems and improve overall knowledge and understanding of the landscape.
Requirements
- Excellent Computer Science fundamental knowledge, ideally with a CompSci degree.
- Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and React or Angular
- Passion for elegant, high-performance UI/UX
- Bonus: mapping libraries (Mapbox, Cesium), backend skills (Rust, Python, C++)
This is a high-impact role with full product ownership, working closely with users in the field.
The firm offers a base salary of up to £110k + Equity (not share options)
