Department overview
We are establishing an International AI Centre of Excellence (COE) to accelerate Nomura's AI capabilities across our global operations. Building on the success of our GenAI platform, which serves Nomura users and delivers significant business value through both its UI and API capabilities, we are expanding our team to drive innovation in AI-powered solutions. Our COE works closely with the Japan AI COE and operates at the intersection of technology and business, developing and deploying AI solutions that generate revenue and improve operational efficiency across Global Markets, Investment Banking, and Corporate functions.
The team is responsible for developing and maintaining our global AI infrastructure, including our flagship Chinou platform, and will play a key role in the integration of our global AI capabilities. We operate in a dynamic environment where we collaborate with business stakeholders, data scientists, and technology teams across multiple regions to deliver high-impact AI solutions. Our work encompasses everything from front-end development for AI interfaces to backend infrastructure for model deployment, with a focus on creating intuitive, scalable, and secure AI applications.

Role Description
You are a confident and self-motivated developer with a focus on AI platforms and applications. Initially focusing on frontend development for AI tools, with opportunities to expand into full-stack development. You will be responsible for creating intuitive user interfaces for AI platforms while having the opportunity to grow into backend AI infrastructure development. You have demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders across the organization and are comfortable translating complex technical requirements into user-friendly solutions. Experience with financial services applications of AI would be an advantage. You will be developing and maintaining user interfaces for AI platforms, with potential growth into full-stack development including model deployment, monitoring, and optimization.
