Job Description
Would you like to join our Estates Team in Wiltshire as an Estate Assistant, (Gardener/ Cleaner), and help us to deliver an excellent service for our residents? This is a great opportunity for anyone who is a customer-focused team player.
About The Role
As a Mobile Estate Assistant at Guinness, you will be responsible for providing high quality garden services to several of our housing schemes in Swindon, Devizes and the surrounding areas.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 35 hours per week Monday - Friday.
Some Of The Key Duties Involved Are
- In your role as an Estate Assistant, you’ll carry out grounds’ maintenance of our communal green spaces.
- You will maintain the upkeep of all landscaped areas, ensuring pathways and hard standings are kept clear of debris.
- Operate landscaping machinery, ride-on mowers, strimmer’s, hedge cutters and blowers.
- Working as part of a team.
- Provide a high-quality service to residents.
- Cleaning internal communal areas and keeping external areas well maintained.
- Working outside all year round, working in inclement weather conditions as well as exposure to cold/heat and noise.
- Keep accurate records of your work, sharing best practice and ways of working to improve the service, learning from experience when things don’t go to plan.
Requirements
As you will be interacting with our customers and colleagues, we are looking for someone who has good customer service skills with the ability to work both within a team and on your own.
You Will Also Have
- Recent experience in grounds maintenance.
- Have a good understanding of health and safety, COSHH requirements.
- Have basic IT knowledge and comfortable using mobile devices (training will be provided).
- Be punctual and a positive attitude.
- Full manual driving licence.
- Build effective relationships based on trust and respect and be a great ambassador for The Guinness Partnership.
Desirable
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Horticulture or equivalent
- PA1, PA4b & PA6 NPTC Certificates
