Job Description
General Builder (Damp & Mould Team)
Salary:
£29,610 - £33,075
We're currently recruiting for an experienced General Builder to join our Property Team in and around Swindon. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a business use van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.
As a builder you'll carry out all forms of general building repairs and maintenance with a focus on damp and mould remediations across our homes as part of our Damp & Mould Team - experience within this is necessary.
What You'll Do
- Mould washing, stain block & thermal painting
- Lowering ground level
- Installing French drains
- Installing/renewing loft insulation
- Ivy removal
- Repointing
- Soffit/facia and guttering/downpipe renewal
- Render patch repair
- Foam and re-trim doors and windows
- Investigating lack of cavity wall insulation
To succeed in this role you must enjoy learning new technology to identify root causes to damp & mould, and have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices. Ideally you'll have a minimum of NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a building trade.
A basic DBS check will be done prior to starting.
