Role
We are looking for and innovative Clinical product manager to join Huntleigh Healthcare’s Global Product Management and marketing team. The role will focus on growing The Huntleigh Obstetric product category.
You will report into the Senior Category Manager and will take responsibility for product(s) management including new product development project(s), current portfolio management, as well as support the Senior Category Manager.
You will work closely with R&D, Sales, marketing and other supportive functions. You will liase with external partners to help in the continuing development of the Huntleigh’s portfolio and help ensure the Huntleigh business meets its’ growth targets over the coming years.
The Huntleigh diagnostic business unit is part of the Arjo Group and takes its strategic mandate from the Arjo Group business strategy. There may be a requirement to assist and work with group colleagues to assist in group development activities. The business unit may also enter into Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) arrangements with other companies and this role will oversee those arrangements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic planning and tactical support
- Collaborate with the Category Manager and key functions to establish global product management and lifecycle strategies.
- Define key features, specifications, and requirements based on customer feedback.
- Assist the development team with global upstream product launches.
- Support local downstream marketing activities including but not limited to product training, clinical education events, customer meetings.
- Gather and analyse market and customer insights, conduct competitor research to help develop products, and manage product lifecycles.
- Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the clinical and functional performance of the product to support customers and colleagues in product utilisation.
Leadership
- Foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholder and co-ordinate projects for timely completion.
- Develop and nurture relationship with external supplier, customers and thought leaders.
Marketing
- Work with marketing to develop the product(s) brand, value proposition, claims and supportive evidence.
- Provide input in the creation of marketing content,collaterals and campaigns.
Financial
- Create business cases, profit analysis and forecasting to help develop, improve product marketing strategies.
- Assist the category manager in producing portfolio business performance analysis
Areas of operation
- This is a global role therefore UK and international travelling will be expected.
- This is a full-time position, home-based, requiring weekly visits to the headquarter in Cardiff.
Quality System Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide input for the clinical aspect of the CE mark and FDA submission.
- Build quality into all aspects of your work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- Degree in Marketing, business administration, medical technology engineering or healthcare and clinical science required
- Proven min 5 year experience in the medical technology industry required, preferably in the patient monitoring, CTG technology sector.
- Proven prior 5 year experience in product management, marketing, sales, or clinical affairs essential
- Midwifery, obstretric qualification would be a strong advantage.
- Excellent standard of English and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Physically fit to travel internationally
