We have an opportunity to join us for a 12-month work placement within Global Corporate Responsibility, Communications and Public Affairs joining the team as a Global Corporate Affairs Intern.

What you’ll do:

As an intern, you’ll work on a rotation basis across our business within the Global Corporate Affairs team, providing support and offering experience across the Corporate Responsibility, Global Communications, and Public Affairs agenda. You will be an integral part of each team during your rotations, and we’d encourage you to network and meet people from around the business, whether that is through becoming a member of one of our wonderful Employee Resource Groups or proactively setting up time with some of IHG’s Senior Leaders. We want to support you and watch you flourish.

You will be available from September 2025 to August 2026.

What we offer:

• A unique opportunity to work on a rotating placement, supporting our teams in Corporate Responsibility, Communications and Public Affairs
• Lots of responsibility; managing specialised project work and keeping an eye on deadlines
• Refining your skills; assisting in reviewing and proof-reading copy, sustainability data and assessing trends
• We’ll value your input; conducting research on best practices in Corporate Responsibility and ESG Reporting
• Commercial awareness; Providing support with the production of IHG’s annual Responsible Business Report and IHG’s quarterly Financial Results reporting as a FTSE 100 company.
• The bigger picture; Supporting the Global Communications press office on day-to-day press inquiries.
• Spreading the word; Supporting work for Communications including internal, external, owner, sustainability, editorial and public affairs
• We value your ideas; Assisting in drafting, proofing documents, internal stories, and social media posts.
• Keeping us informed; Preparing weekly briefings to be shared across the wider GCA team, including with senior leaders (including IHG’s Board)

What we ask:

• Completing or having completed a degree in a relevant discipline
• Passionate about sustainability, communities, climate change, the environment and an interest in politics and current affairs
• An interest in corporate communications
• Audience-focused with good working knowledge of different global markets and awareness of cultural nuances
• Numerate, able to work with data to identify trends and insights.
• Good communication, written and verbal skills, and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.
• Understanding of social media channels, in particular LinkedIn
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365

For this role, you will be based in our beautiful Global HQ in Windsor, Berkshire and will be in the office three days a week, with remote working for two days.
