Global Head of Engineering

• Monday to Friday
• Executive level salary and package
• Hybrid role - home working with regular time in Canary Wharf office and some international travel

Here at ISS, as a leading Facilities Management (FM) provider, we have a vacancy for a Global Head of Engineering to join a truly major corporate and retail banking account for a global, household client with a massive share of the UK and international banking market.

We already provide a mature Hard and Soft service operation across the client's estate which ranges from high volume branch network, processing centres, Data Centres and Corporate Head Offices. The focus here is on the client's "Critical" environments, which are the subject to robust engineering service and capital projects.

The account falls across the UK, the US, Europe, Asian and India, with Regional leadership teams already in post, which within a complex matrix structure would report into this role. You would also work closely with a number of expert including Authorising Engineers, Asset Managers and Compliance experts

This position is effectively the final Authority for all things Technical across the account, delivering the long term strategy while ensuring operational success on a global scale and managing the client relationship

You would be joining the account at a highly exciting time, utilising the platform in place to accelerate engineering delivery and further improve operations, through the continuing embrace of Technology and Behavioural Change

This is a fantastic role for a Global Leader, well versed in Engineering within corporate banking looking to progress their career in an Executive position for a world class FM provider, on a sector defining account

Actions will include:

• Within sphere of responsibility be the single point of contact for Technical service delivery and the escalation point for the appointed client stakeholder(s)
• Be accountable for the Technical Service delivery to meet all contractual obligations.
• Supply chain management approach to assure all third party suppliers are competent and have the right levels of capability to operate within a complex and critical portfolio.
• Be responsible for the embedment of technology and systems to support service delivery, ensuring the required levels of data and reporting to create value solutions.
• Support the development and ensure effective implementation of standard operating and maintenance procedures and processes for the account.
• Drive client specific initiatives such as savings targets, benchmarking and best practice, including EHS Risk Management
• Ensure Technical Services is 100% certified by the recognised external governing organisation where relevant.
• Ensure the engineering practices are continuously compliant with legal, statutory and contractual obligation and are being consistently executed across the Customer account in accordance

We need from you:

• High level of Engineering qualification, ideally to Chartered status
• Extensive working experience in a critical facilities operation with time in a senior management position.
• Excellent knowledge of risk management model approaches and frameworks within a banking environment
• Specific knowledge of current legislation and mandatory standards relating to safe working practices.
• Very well developed skills around influencing behaviour and managing client relationships
