Role purpose

The Global Head of Influence & Social Media at Aesop is responsible for the brand's international engagement strategy with a 360-degree vision that includes earned and owned channels including PR, Influence, Events and Social Media. In this strategic and creative role, your mission is to design and lead all engagement campaigns through distinctive and disruptive content. You will implement activations that significantly grow the brand’s awareness and engagement, while respecting and enhancing Aesop’s ethos.

Reporting into the Global Communications and Engagement Director, you will collaborate closely with the brand’s marketing and creative teams, ensuring the amplification of campaigns and product launches. Acting as a key partner for zones and countries, you will establish guidelines and oversee local activations with countries. In line with the brand positioning and philosophy, you shall be responsible for the brand’s social media content and develop its distinctiveness on each channel, in collaboration with the creative team. Integrating drive-to-store and conversion in your initiatives, you will enhance a results-driven culture, setting KPIs to manage the brand’s share of voice both online and offline.

Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to –

  • Social Media Strategy and Management: Overseeing the brand’s social media platforms strategy and content creation, accelerating community management strategy. Partnering with countries to increase our social media presence on local channels.
  • Influence Strategy Design and Management: Designing and leading the brand’s advocacy strategy. You define the categories of KOLs and content creators and how to collaborate with them in alignment with Aesop’s unique positioning. You develop guidelines for countries and approve local initiatives whilst your team is responsible for managing international content creators.
  • Public Relations Strategy: Responsible for the brand’s PR strategy and the development of PR storytelling to continue elevating Aesop’s image and promoting its products and stores.
  • Event Strategy Implementation: Implementing the event strategy, conceptualizing, and leading events in partnership with creative and retail teams.
  • Production of Guidelines: Supervising the production of guidelines for countries to amplify product launches.
  • Management of a team of experts within PR, social media and advocacy.

This is a full-time position operating with a hybrid working pattern, including 3 days on-site per week at Aesop’s Global Head Office near London Bridge.

  • Exceptional level of expertise within social media (channels, features, best practices)
  • Able to work with multiple partners to achieve overall goals – a proven track record of influencing and managing senior stakeholders

  • Strategic, highly organised and a proactive self-starter
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, championing creativity and curiosity
  • Strong expertise in content creation management
  • Open mindset and deep curiosity seeking to understand others, listen without judgement and act on diverse perspectives
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and psychologically safe work environment
  • Experience within luxury markets would be advantageous.
