Are you passionate about international education and operational excellence? We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Global Operations Officer (GOO) to join our vibrant International Office. Our team is not just based in Brighton but spans across the globe, with colleagues in China, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, and Jordan.
The Global Operations Officer is integral to supporting the recruitment operations of the University’s International Office. A significant part of your role relates to the administrative and quality management of our network of agent representatives, external recruitment consultants, and sponsorship bodies. The post holder will lead on international operations including agent contracts, invoice & commission processing, sponsor student reporting, international scholarships, international enquiries, international student ambassadors, and visitor management.
Role
You'll also ensure Brighton aligns with the British Council Agent Quality framework, making sure agent applicants transition seamlessly through the enrolment pipeline. Plus, you'll have line management responsibility for the Global Liaison Officer, who will support you in recruitment operations. In order to be successful in in this role you should be:
- Organised and solution-focused, with excellent attention to detail
- Confident working independently and as part of a team
- Experienced in international recruitment operations
- Proficient with data systems, reporting, and Microsoft Office tools
- A strong communicator with cross-cultural sensitivity

This role is offered on a full-time basis (37.0 hours per week) however we do welcome acclimations from candidates seeking to job share. This role is also eligible for some remote working in line with the university's Agile Working Framework
