Description
We are looking for a specialist in government incentive programmes and investment attraction to join our rapidly expanding team in London or at our HQ in Edinburgh.
As
Government Incentives and Investment Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping ENODA’s ability to deliver our revolutionary hardware at scale. ENODA’s proprietary technology, the Enoda PRIME® Exchanger, is a drop in replacement for the distribution substation equipment in the electricity grid.
To service the exponential demand for GridTech, we are standing up our own manufacturing facilities to produce the device at scale. These factories will be supported by public funding from different levels of government in several jurisdictions.
We are seeking an analyst with experience of government support programmes to manage the application and awards process for this funding. You will collaborate closely with the manufacturing and policy teams, as well as our external legal and public affairs advisers, to include all required information and certifications in applications.
You will own the relationship with Governmental organisations and departments that administer these programmes, and support wider policy team activity to engage governments on relevant broader policy questions.
You will work closely with the manufacturing and facility project teams to understand the business’ development regarding manufacturing process and supply chain and how this can be leveraged in applications.
This role will require frequent travel between our London and Edinburgh offices, and some travel to the EU and US.

You'll Spend Your Time
- Leading preparation and submission for ENODA’s applications to government programmes for manufacturing support in multiple geographies
- Identifying and compiling relevant information and the administration of applications
- Managing relationships with funding bodies post reward
- Working with manufacturing and project teams to ensure relevant information is incorporated into applications in a timely and accessible way
- Owning an overview of the manufacturing process and facility development, as it pertains to our interface with government
- Interpreting programme and funding requirements for non-policy audiences, primarily technical, economic and manufacturing colleagues
- Collaborating with commercial colleagues to understand DSO sales leads and the impact on the development of the manufacturing offer
- Developing and maintaining ENODA’s global network of governmental programme offices and awarding bodies
- Maintaining a good understanding of wider industrial and trade policy to support ENODA’s strategy development
- Providing guidance on your area to wider team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture within the organisation.
The Key Experience We're Looking For
- Familiarity with government incentive or funding programmes and awarding bodies
- 2+ years experience working within government or in a government facing role on investment, funding or industrial policy roles
- Experience working with large manufacturing or industrial projects
- Experience working in/with governments to support economic development in growth sectors
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong numerical abilities: capacity to work with and communicate, although not necessarily develop, financial models and other quantifications of ENODA’s plans and their impact
- A willingness to develop new proficiencies by collaborating with experts in other subject areas
- Ability to see policy and regulatory debates from multiple perspectives and engage productively with stakeholders with different perspectives
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with senior decision makers.
The Following Would Be Advantageous
- Experience across multiple jurisdictions
- Familiarity with energy technology and innovations, and the supply chain
- Experience with US federal government loan programmes, or EU state aid applications
- Experience within an industrial manufacturing organisations
- Proven track record of writing accessible publications on technical subjects
- Understanding of trade and customs barriers and impact on supply chain
- Experience working in an international context
- Language skills.
