Storm ID is an award-winning digital transformation consultancy, with clients spanning the public sector, healthcare, financial services and early-stage start-ups.

This is a 1 year graduate programme contract with an opportunity to transition to a full-time permanent position after the programme.

Provisional programme start date is 18th August 2025.

The role

As a Graduate AI Engineer at Storm ID, you will help design and develop AI-driven solutions, working with our Agentic Workflow Engine and related technologies. You'll collaborate closely with consultants and clients to bring AI concepts to life in the public sector space.

You will be part of a talented technical team focused on delivering innovative AI solutions that meet user needs and business requirements. Above all, you'll want to contribute to Storm's technical proficiency in AI, which may sometimes involve challenging the status quo.

About you

You’re a recent graduate or early-career professional with a background in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related subject. You’re passionate about AI and eager to apply your technical skills to real-world challenges.

You’re curious, collaborative and ready to learn. Above all, you're motivated by the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that make a difference.

As a recent graduate or early career professional, you will have:

• Some familiarity with Python and current technical AI tools
• Experience with version control systems like Git
• A strong interest in public sector AI and working on socially impactful projects
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and collaborate in an agile team setting
• Enthusiasm for staying current with emerging AI technologies and best practices

What you'll do

You will have a range of responsibilities and will be required to apply your expertise in many ways. Here are some examples to give you a flavour of what you will do:

• Identify and define technical tasks from project requirements
• Implement machine learning models, data pipelines, and integrations with Storm's product suite
• Investigate new AI approaches, frameworks, and best practices for application in public sector contexts
• Work closely with AI Consultants to refine user stories and deployment strategies
• Test, document, and refine AI solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and ethical compliance
• Engage in structured training to achieve Azure certifications
• Participate in mentorship and code reviews to elevate your technical skills
• Help identify specialized niches where AI can deliver high value to clients
• Contribute to prototype development and proof-of-concepts that validate AI solutions
