Through continued growth and success, WA/SLR is looking to recruit graduate ecologists into its established ecology team at its office in Stoke on Trent.
The opportunity:
To meet increased demand, we are looking to increase our staff numbers to cover site surveys across the Midlands and South, with employees to be based at our office in Stoke-on-Trent.
The position will start around March 2025.

In this exciting role you will:
- Assist experienced ecologists with protected species surveys (and gain skills of your own in doing so);
- Be exposed to the full breadth of ecological consultancy in a short space of time;
- Gain insights into the planning system and infrastructure development in the UK;
As the successful candidate you will:
- Hold a degree in ecology or a related discipline;
- Hold, or be working towards, ‘qualifying member' status, or higher, of CIEEM
- Have a flexible approach to work and a willingness to develop new ecology field skills, including during unsocial hours (e.g. overnight bat surveys) and regularly away from home (expenses paid)
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team;
- A full UK driving licence
