Grants Manager | Top 40 Firm
Leonid Group have been retained by a Top 40 Accountancy Practice in search of a Grants Manager. You’ll be joining a firm with over 100 years of experience in providing accountancy, tax, and advisory services. With 31 offices across the UK, our client supports entrepreneurial businesses, third-sector organisations, and high-net-worth individuals, both domestically and internationally. Our client’s in-house Grants team plays a pivotal role in helping businesses secure the funding they need to grow and innovate, particularly in cutting-edge sectors such as STEM, manufacturing, and technology.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide regular department updates to Head of Grants via weekly reporting of sales successes and personnel development.
- Providing a thorough understanding of UK National funding programmes (Innovate UK, APC, UKRI). A good understanding of European funding programmes (Horizon Europe, Eureka programme, LIFE, EU Defence Fund, Innovation Fund, etc.) is a bonus!
- Assist with ongoing and special training of grants team.
- Devise strategies and techniques for assisting with sales targets and develop future courses of action.
- Provide clients with a best-in-class service experience.
- Responsible for brand promotion, assist in identifying relevant conferences and associations.
- Understand the ideal client, how they relate to our products, and develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics.
- Ability to identify and gain entrance into new accounts, secure new clients and revenue streams and develop strong relationships with partners and managers.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to increase sales of service lines.
What You Will Need
- Thorough understanding of current UK Funding programmes
- Strong decision-making abilities
- Self-starter, self-motivated, and capable of seeking additional opportunities
- Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, plan, and organize the grant writing delivery
- Demonstrated ability to create, develop, and enhance customer relationships
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce
- Demonstrated strong written/verbal communication skills (English)
- Ability to maintain professional composure in all situations
- High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information
Education And Experience
- Experience in UK National and/or European funding programmes
- Bachelor’s degree in either a scientific/engineering field or economics/business management field.
