Working closely with the category team, to define the sourcing needs and build sourcing strategy with the objective of lowering costs and developing operational excellence. You will evolve mainly in multi footprint environment insuring the check and balance between our banners.
What's the job?
- Collaborate with the product and banner teams to understand needs and deliver planned projects (range reviews, fixes and trade, sourcing 2.0 etc)
- Partner with Range, Supply Chain, Quality, and Product Development teams to align on the Own Exclusive Brand (OEB) vision and ensure its effective execution through sourcing strategies.
- Support delivery of Sales and margin growth and identify and deliver vendor cost improvement whilst coordinating vendor support activity across other functions
- Analyse breakdown of product’s components and ways of driving value through strategic sourcing
- Define the right mix of vendors working with supply chain to best routes to market whilst coordinating and handle tenders and take lead in face to face negotiations where appropriate
- Shortlist factories / vendors – working with the sourcing offices using common scorecard and assessing holistically vendor capability and end 2 end benefits
- Analyse date to identify the mist cost-effective suppliers and align the vendor base for optimal efficiency and risk management
- Define with Sourcing Offices where the right suppliers are in order to be able to guarantee the right quality and quantities for the Group
- Work/negotiate with suppliers to ensure the most competitive commercial terms for Kingfisher
- Provide sourcing strategies aligned to product and banner activities on a rolling 3 to 5-year plan.
- Identify the needs for new sourcing / vendor discovery. Provide the sourcing priorities to buying offices
- Develop footprint diversification strategy to ensure supply chain security
- You’re the link between range and buying offices. You ensure a smooth and efficient communication with stakeholder. You will engage banners / range with your sourcing strategies.
- Give an insight to you plan in term of footprint evolution, vendor allocation and dependencies.
What You'll Bring
- Sourcing Black Belt internal certification or sourcing academy / experience
- Experience in buying / sourcing and good understanding of ‘design to cost’
- Understanding of factory and manufacturing process
- Understanding category ranges (desirable)
- Fluent English essential
