Howden is looking for a Group Insurance Associate to join our in-house Group Risk team. You will support the Group Insurance Manager in shaping the renewal strategy and overseeing the management of Howden's global insurance programs.
Please note this is a full-time, permanent role based in our Central London office. Following a hybrid work pattern, you are expected to be onsite 3 days per week on average.
Please also note that shortlisting and interviews for this role will commence in January 2025.
Role Responsibilities:
Support development of the strategy for insurance purchase and risk retention, taking into account key drivers and future requirements.
Assist in considering various risk financing options.
Contribute to the development, coordination and management of the multinational insurance arrangements of Howden.
Understand the range of business activities and risk exposures of the Howden Group.
Ensure appropriate policy coverage across all classes, working with the brokers.
Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business, and with brokers and insurers.
Support the acquisitions process, ensuring appropriate cover in place.
Collate and analyse Group-wide finance, risk and insurance data to inform Group insurance strategy and the renewal process.
Provide insurance information and respond to technical queries to support the business, as required.
Role Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally in an account management or broking role, with exposure to managing corporate or commercial insurance programs.
Strong understanding of corporate insurance classes and the renewal process for multinational insurance arrangements.
Demonstrated analytical skills, with the ability to interpret insurance data, assess risk exposures, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Exceptional organisational abilities, capable of managing complex projects, deadlines, and data-heavy processes.
High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in policy reviews, data analysis, and documentation.
