The role
In this Insurance role you will be a central part of a team of two who are responsible for oversight and governance of MAG’s complex Insurance portfolio. You will work alongside the Group Head of Insurance to liaise with colleagues, brokers and insurers to ensure that MAG’s insurance portfolio provides the right levels of cover across the Group’s key transferable risk exposures, including meeting all legal insurance obligations, whilst achieving value for money.
This role will have a core focus on ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day Insurance activities as well as supporting with the implementation of the strategy. You will take a proactive role in supporting on all aspects of MAG’s insurance portfolio including claims management, oversight and management of financial and administrative matters and in the annual renewals process. You will work alongside colleagues in the Risk function to share knowledge, produce meaningful MI, and to communicate lessons learnt across the business to drive down claims experience.
What will make you successful in the role?
To be successful in this role, ideally you will have a relevant professional audit, risk management or insurance (CII) qualification. You will have demonstrable experience of the practical application of risk and control strategies or auditing controls with the ability to communicate effectively, instil credibility and develop innovative ways of working as a 2nd line business support function. You will ideally have previous insurance claims management experience, however we are willing to teach this, what will actually be beneficial in this role is a background showing great stakeholder management and effective administration and organisation.
Furthermore, you will have strong planning, writing, and organisational skills, and a desire to learn and continuously improve. You will be a team player who can handle multiple priorities and time pressure in a professional manner.
