Head of Bid Management

Location: Hybrid working, ideally located within close proximity of our Stoke on Trent or Warrington office.

Our Head of Bid Management is a senior role in our business, focused on winning tenders across several sectors including social housing, healthcare, education and hotels, and several workstreams including reactive and planned maintenance, minor works, major projects and fast track fit out

Reporting into the Business Development Director, you will have overall responsibility for the development, implementation, monitoring and review of the national work winning strategy, your focus will be to support the growth plans of the business by identifying a targeted plan and co-ordinating the team to collaborate. To support you, an established Business Development and Estimating team ensure we deliver the desired outputs in line with the growth strategy.

n outline of your responsibilities as a Head of Bid ManagementO

• wnership of the end to end Bid process for key opportunities, identifying the “Win Plan” and co-ordinating all necessary resources to produce a best in class submissionK
• ey figure within the bid / no bid process, judging the highest win probabilitiesI
• nnovating the delivery solutionE
• nsure the bid team work effectively with Operations on identifying bid opportunities within the marketplaceE
• nsure effective communication processes between departments are in place and facilitate timely and successful bid submissionsW
• ork with operations teams on resourcing the completion of tender opportunitiesM
• anage workloads of the bid team, in conjunction with Operations requirementsI
• n conjunction with Estimating team ensure thorough risk assessment of tender submissionsF
• acilitate adjudication process to ensure robust and commercially sound bid submissionsM
• anage post-tender activities, e.g. presentations and clarificationsM
• onitor bid outcomes and ensure effective b2b and internal communicationsP
• rovide relevant reports to the company board of directorsI
• dentify and drive continuous improvement activitiesD
• evelop improvement activities identified via customer feedback reportE
• nsure continuous business education on bid processes and principlesD
• evelop systems and processes which facilitate gathering intelligence on bid activity​

out YouAs

an experienced Head of Bid Management, you will have a strong track record of successful Bid Management and Proposals in the Property Maintenance Sector. Exceptional written communication skills, excellent attention to detail, with a drive for success. You will be commercially astute, driven by success and people management experience would be desirable. You will have strong stakeholder management skills, excellent client relationships skills and a passion for leading people. You will need to hold a Full UK driving licence.​A
