Description

Who are we?

Lumon is a leading international payments company which enables effortless overseas payments by uniting people, technology & expertise. We are passionate about what we do, as we believe helping people achieve their goals is more valuable than just moving their money.

Life at Lumon

People are always at the heart of what we do, no matter if it’s our clients, our community or our Lumoneer's. To give you a little flavour of what we mean…

We are a proud charity partner of Future First who support children in schools across the UK. We are a carbon neutral business. We are committed to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion; our EDI committee serves an important role at Lumon by challenging the status quo and helping us move the needle.

We really want to make Lumon a great place to work, where people feel comfortable being themselves and where we can attract as much diversity as we possibly can. If this sounds good to you, then we’re thrilled you’re considering joining our team!

The Role?

We have exciting growth plans and finding fantastic people to join the team is vital to those. We are looking for a Head of Business Partnering who will be responsible for a variety of HR work across the UK and our International offices in Spain, France, Portugal and Ireland. The role currently has a team of 3 (HRBP, Payroll & Benefits Manager and People Operations Partner) and reports directly to the CPO.

So, what does that actually mean?

Well, it means you will own the day-to-day people operations of our colleagues.

In a nutshell:

  • Partner with business leaders to ensure we have the best structures and teams in place to deliver our business ambitions.
  • Oversee all international people operations, including expansion of European and International offices
  • Run the annual benchmarking process, salary reviews and continually review and improve our variable pay plans
  • Improve our EVP to ensure we attract and retain the best talent for Lumon
  • Support employee relations in the UK and Internationally as required
  • Develop and deliver a robust talent management process, elevating the performance of our Lumoneers and ensuring we have the right succession plans in place
  • Lead the Learning and Development agenda across the organisation, identifying gaps, preparing and delivering programmes internally as required
  • Support the CPO to deliver culture and change programmes
  • Work closely with the rest of the people team on projects

The most important attribute you can bring to this job is your ambition to have a big impact on a growing business, a willingness to work hard and the right ingenuity to make that happen.

We look for people who strive to improve, are restless in their desire to exceed expectations, but who know that working as a team, brings better results than working alone.

What else will help you to succeed in this role?

  • 10 years+ experience of working in HR/People teams.
  • Strong experience of European people operations
  • Strong understanding of talent management
  • Experience in reward: running annual reward process, benchmarking, designing variable and LTI plans
  • An ability to influence senior decision makers
  • An ability to improve on processes
  • A desire to learn and bring that mindset to the team
  • A data driven approach to decision making
  • A champion of diversity and inclusion
  • Language capability, ideally Spanish/Portuguese is highly advantageous

We put great value on anyone who can say “yes” to all our success criteria and someone that wants to play a leading role in our people team.
