The Opportunity
Wintech are looking for a visionary and technically astute Head of Façade Access Consultancy, which is a role of substantial responsibility and accountability. This is a highly visible role with opportunities to contribute to not only the growth, but also the strategic direction of the business.
Key Responsibilities and Accountability
- Lead, develop, influence, and deliver the organisation’s Façade Access Consultancy services.
- Develop and maintain a client base and represent Wintech for the delivery of façade access consultancy services.
- Manage multiple projects in a clear, concise and coordinated manner.
- Deliver design reports and specifications for new builds in line with RIBA design stages.
- Attend meetings with clients, contractors and sub-contractors.
- Work with design teams to deliver a high-quality service.
- Maintain excellent knowledge of all regulations, guidance, and requirements relating to suspended access equipment and rope access. Keep abreast of pending and future changes.
- Carry out technical audits of façade access subcontractor tenders, construction drawings, calculation and O+M manuals.
- Manage relationships with internal and external clients, engineers and other stakeholders.
- Visit site to monitor and advise subcontractors.
- Carry out site audits on existing Suspended Access Equipment (SAE).
- Produce detailed technical reports.
- Witness suspended access equipment testing in factory settings and on site.
- Liaise with Façade Engineering and Structural Engineering colleagues in-house.
- Liaise with the Finance team to ensure accurate invoicing is completed in a timely manner.
Key Skills and Experience
- Excellent knowledge of suspended access equipment and rope access systems.
- Higher education qualification in engineering or in a facade related subject.
- Already Chartered or working towards achieving Chartered Status.
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Demonstrable professional experience in delivering façade access solutions for UK-based projects
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in the façade access industry.
