Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time
As the Head of Finance, you will
- Oversee financial control of all Group legal entities, monthly accounts presentation and payroll operations. Responsible for operation of all finance systems, annual audit process, department KPIs and regular analysis of business financial data. Overall responsibility for department resourcing, training and development. Actively involved in forecasting, budgeting and modelling financial data as required.
- Provide leadership to the Finance team and ensure appropriate resource is in place at all times
- Train and develop team members as necessary
- Establish and maintain KPIs to ensure the Finance team operates effectively and efficiently
- Develop effective relationships across the whole business
- Manage relationships with 3rd party professional tax and compliance advisors
- Overall responsibility for department processes, procedures, systems and control for the Group
- Oversee monthly accounts preparation and present and interpret monthly results to the ELT
- Oversee, implement and maintain financial controls, processes and procedures
- Oversee various parent company reporting requirements
- Manage the annual statutory audit process and accounts preparation
- Responsible for ensuring all legal entity statutory reporting is fulfilled
- Ensure company insurances are renewed with appropriate cover
- Proactively analyse, trend and report financial information for Senior Management to assist with decision making and root cause investigations
- Monitor and maximise cashflows of all legal entities and liaise with parent company on funding requirements
- Monitor working capital position and take corrective actions as necessary
- Produce budget models and forecasts as required
- Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies
- Adherence to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systems
- Demonstrate and promote PD&MS values and lead by example
- Ensure direct report performance reviews are carried out within the required timescales (where applicable)

About You
You’ll have experience of:
- Detailed understanding of Finance reporting functions
- Highly competent in the use of MS Excel
- Significant, demonstrable post qualification experience in a similar role
- Experience in the use of Sage accounts package or similar including project accounting / job costing
- Experience in managing and developing others
- Excellent written and spoken English

Qualifications
Degree qualified in a relevant subject or equivalent (preferred)
Educated to higher grade level or equivalent, with a pass in Maths and English
Recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, CA)
