Job Description
Join us as a Head of Investment Prioritisation and Assurance
- We’ll look to you to ensure the multi-year bank-wide portfolio investment and execution are aligned to our purpose, strategy, and risk appetite
- You will work in partnership with Group Strategy, Finance and Digital X to ensure alignment between strategic outcomes and the investment programmes, making recommendations on what should be accelerated and decelerated
- You’ll oversee the forward-looking transformation plan and transition states, ensuring investment initiatives support the overall strategy
What you'll do
You’ll manage the prioritisation of our enterprise investment portfolio, ensuring tight review of the investment progress against approved business cases and managing the stage-gate funding process and decisions. This will involve accurate and timely reporting including planning and prioritisation, outcomes and updates, and investment initiatives across relevant governance forums.
In partnership with key stakeholders, you’ll develop the enterprise investment plan bringing together the key teams involved in the management of the portfolio. You’ll also coordinate the investment portfolio planning and backlog prioritisation cycle, balancing strategic outcomes, risk appetite, cost, and benefit delivery in support of the overall transformation plan and transition states.
In addition, you’ll:
- Define and maintain portfolio minimum standards at the portfolio and programme level
- Manage the Investment Delivery Forum in partnership with Finance, driving discipline across Financial performance, outcome and benefit realisation, risk and issue management
- Ensure adherence of investment programmes to architectural standards and strategic outcomes through strong partnership across the Bank
- Own the enterprise investment backlog of initiatives
- Be the point of contact for the COOs, Finance Directors and Portfolio teams across the bank
- Develop recommendations for the Executive Committee on prioritisation and drawdown decisions; pro-actively surfacing strategic risks and issues as required
- Lead, develop, and line manage a professional, capable and engaged team to meet the needs of the business and customers
