The Role

As the Head of Operations and OCC, you will have end-to-end responsibility for ensuring operational excellence across our stations. Reporting to senior leadership, you will play a key role in shaping strategies, implementing policies, and managing teams to achieve outstanding results. This role is pivotal in maintaining our position as a trusted partner to airlines and the broader aviation community.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Strategy: Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for all ground handling activities and the Operations Control Centre (OCC).
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the seamless delivery of services, meeting or exceeding all performance, safety, and quality standards.
  • Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop large, diverse teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Safety and Compliance: Guarantee adherence to all regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and Swissport’s internal safety and quality standards.
  • Performance Optimization: Develop and implement performance monitoring tools to identify trends, optimize resource utilization, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with airlines, airport authorities, and internal teams to ensure alignment of goals and effective service delivery.
  • Crisis Management: Manage and respond to operational disruptions, maintaining high levels of service and customer satisfaction under pressure.
