Job Description
The Head of Policy, Training, and Communications is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing organizational policies, delivering training programs, and managing internal and external communications in support of the Global Compliance function. This role ensures that policies are aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of compliance, learning, and transparent communication across the organization.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Policy Development and Management
- In collaboration with the Head of Regulatory and other colleagues, develop, review, and update organizational policies to align with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to ensure policies are practical, relevant, and effectively implemented.
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards to update policies as needed.
- Maintain a centralized policy repository and ensure accessibility for all employees.
Training and Development
- Mindful of the compliance governance framework, design and deliver comprehensive training programs to educate employees on policies, compliance requirements, and best practices .
- Develop role-specific training materials and ensure regular updates to reflect changes in regulations or policies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and compliance audits.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and awareness across the organization.
Communications Strategy
- Develop and implement internal and external communication strategies to ensure consistent messaging regarding policies, training and Vialto’s compliance governance framework.
- Draft and distribute communications, including announcements, newsletters, and reports, to keep employees informed and engaged.
- Partner with leadership to communicate organizational goals, changes, and initiatives effectively.
- Act as a liaison with external stakeholders on policy and compliance-related matters, if necessary.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead a small team of policy, training, and communication professionals, providing mentorship and fostering professional development.
- Partner with HR, Legal, Compliance, and other departments to integrate policies and training into broader organizational initiatives.
- Represent the organization in policy-related discussions and forums as required.
Compliance Governance Framework
- In collaboration with the Head of Regulatory, create and maintain a compliance governance framework.
- Ensure that the work of the Policy, Training and Communication Team is aligned to Vialto’s compliance governance framework.
- Support the administration of Vialto’s compliance governance framework.
Competencies
- Preferred experience in policy writing, training or communication
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to align policies, training, and communication strategies with organizational goals.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive matters.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
Educated to degree level with compliance/policy and training related experience.
