Rolls-Royce Submarines is part of an enterprise involved with delivering a range of strategically important programmes for the nation. An opportunity now exists to join us as Head of Resilience and Security. You will be joining a growing business leading all aspects of resilience and security for Rolls Royce Submarines that provides the power to the country’s submarine flotilla and an emerging civil market. This role offers the opportunity to provide wider security leadership for Rolls-Royce Group across the UK, Middle East and Africa.
As the Head of Resilience and Security you will be supported by a range of expert managers and a dedicated team covering Resilience and Business Continuity, Physical Security, Information Security, Supply Chain Security, Cyber Security, Personnel Security, GDPR and Projects Security that includes the Nuclear Licenced Sites and a range of outstations.
As the Head of Resilience and Security you will work very closely with the Ministry of Defence Submarine Delivery Agency, Defence Nuclear Organisation, offsite Emergency Services and Emergency Planning Regulators, the RRSL Executive and the full range of Senior Managers and the Ministry of Defence Police based at the site. In addition you will be required to work closely with the Rolls-Royce Group Security and Resilience Team to support our operations across the UK, Middle East and Africa.

What You Will Be Doing
With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to:
- Be a highly influential member of the senior management community, committees and review bodies with regular Executive engagement.
- Lead a team of c120 highly motivated and capable resilience and security professionals in the vital roles they undertake.
- Be a key member of the Director of Safety, Security and Licensee Authority first line, shaping strategy and policies for the future of RRSL.
- Secondary reporting into the Director Group Security and Resilience, shaping strategy and policies for the future of Rolls-Royce and supporting across the UK, Middle East and Africa.
- Influence the Submarine Enterprise wider resilience and security policies.

- Have significant, senior and demonstrable experience of resilience and security in the nuclear sector.
- Have demonstrable senior experience of resilience and security operations across the UK, Middle East and Africa.
- Hold an appropriate qualification in Nuclear Security and/or Resilience.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of nuclear regulation.

To work for Rolls-Royce Submarines you need to hold a
Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you don’t currently already have this in place.
Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets, you must hold a UK nationality. Any dual nationals will require additional scrutiny and background checks prior to commencing work with RRSL.
