Oldham College is looking to appoint a Head of Studies - Inclusion

A strategic, passionate, and emotionally intelligent leader with a strong track record in curriculum or SEND leadership. You believe that every learner—regardless of ability or background—deserves high-quality, personalised education and support. With deep knowledge of high-needs learners and inclusive curriculum design, you're ready to lead teams that transform lives.


HOW you’ll make a difference:


  • Provide dynamic leadership to curriculum and support teams across the Development Skills Faculty—a specialist high needs provision.
  • Drive continuous quality improvement, underpinned by robust assurance and policy implementation.
  • Champion inclusive teaching, learning and assessment strategies tailored to the aspirations of diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to support seamless transitions and learner progression.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance Additional Learning Support (ALS) across vocational programmes.
  • Empower staff through regular coaching, performance reviews, and targeted CPD.
  • Represent Oldham College in multi-agency forums and build effective partnerships that secure positive outcomes.
  • Harness the power of digital innovation to develop learner skills, independence and future-readiness.

You will directly impact the life chances of our learners—particularly those with SEND or high needs—by leading inclusive, ambitious, and effective programmes within a nationally recognised specialist curriculum that supports independence, progression and employment.
