The role
Liberis is looking for an experienced sales leader to drive our UK & Ireland sales strategy. Based in London, this role will be instrumental in shaping and executing our go-to-market approach, leading and scaling a high-performing sales teams, and driving revenue growth. This role is a cornerstone of Liberis’ journey to support businesses of all sizes globally through embedded finance products.
Reporting into the Regional GM (UK & Northern Europe), this role will deliver commercial outcomes through direct management of Sales, whilst in parallel working with regional partners and partner managers to identify and implement growth opportunities. You will serve as a critical bridge between our overall strategy and our sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver funding and revenue goals in the region through your sales team, whilst in parallel identifying opportunities to drive further efficiency.
- Manage a team pipeline of customers, taking full ownership of lead allocation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate a seamless onboarding experience across the team, ensuring successful initial funding before transitioning customers to the Renewals team for ongoing support and future funding opportunities.
- Set the standard and ensure a premium, consultative experience for customers across the team.
- Coordinate new product and feature tests, acting as the point of contact for the UK sales team.
- Lead from the front on our most high impact, strategic deals, getting involved in these pitches are required.
- Regular meetings and feedback sessions with key accounts.
- Escalating any live issues and working with technology/operations to unblock as required.
- Generate high quality reports and action plans to optimise commercial performance.
- Gather feedback, iterate on strategies, and identify winning approaches for Liberis in the UK market. Document learnings from trials and tests to establish best practices adopted across Liberis globally.
- Advocate for UK merchants internally, ensuring their needs are championed, while representing Liberis externally as a trusted partner.
- Serve as a role model and mentor. Regular coaching for all team members.
- Optimise team ways of working to maintain a high-performance culture and efficient ways of working.
Key Skills And Experience
- Extensive experience at a senior leadership level in Sales and/or Strategy, with a proven track record of leading Sales teams to deliver significant revenue growth and sales outcomes in Fintech, Tech or Financial Services.
- Previous experience leading and scaling a fast-paced sales team, with an ability to coach and develop high performing sales professionals.
- Responsible for holding Sales Manager to account, ensuring high performance and alignment with business objectives, contributing to long-term growth.
- A proven track record of success in leading complex, high-value sales processes, consistently achieving and exceeding targets.
- A strategic, data-driven approach to sales leadership, with excellent time management and prioritisation skills, and a strong understanding of sales methodologies and forecasting.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and numeracy, with the ability to leverage data to drive commercial decisions and business growth.
- A collaborative and hands on leadership style , thriving as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
- A goal-oriented and positive attitude, with a strategic problem-solving approach that actively seeks creative solutions to overcome complex challenges and drive continuous improvement.
