With a dedicated team of staff, strong partnerships with parents and the local church, and close-knit community, we are now seeking an inspirational Headteacher to lead us into the next exciting chapter of our school’s development.

In addition, we host on site an independent pre-school which has very close links to the school. Our Headteacher is a member of the pre-school Management Committee.

Our Headteacher will retire at the end of this academic year, so we are looking for a Headteacher who will:

• Provide visionary and strategic leadership, ensuring the school continues to excel in its academic and Christian mission.
• Lead with compassion, integrity, and a clear sense of purpose, placing the needs of children at the heart of everything we do.
• Champion the Christian ethos of the school, ensuring that the values of love, respect, kindness, and service are reflected in daily school life.
• Foster a culture of high expectations, supporting staff to deliver the best possible education for all pupils.
• Build and strengthen relationships with our school community, including governors, parents, local churches, and external partners.
• Ensure continuous school improvement through effective leadership, monitoring, and evaluation of teaching and learning.
• Take their place on the Management Committee of St Mary’s and St Peter’s Independent Pre-School.
  
  

We are looking for a Headteacher who is:

• A committed and practicing Christian, with a deep understanding of the Church of England’s ethos and values.
• An experienced leader, ideally with experience in leading a large primary school or similar educational setting.
• A strategic thinker with a track record of school improvement and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
• Passionate about developing children’s academic abilities and supporting their emotional and spiritual growth.
• Excellent in communication, with the ability to engage effectively with children, staff, parents, and the wider community.
• Dedicated to promoting diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding in all areas of school life.
