We have an exciting opportunity for a registered health professional to join our Health & Safety Services Department as the Trust's trainer for moving and handling on a full-time basis.
The successful candidate will work closely with the clinical and non-clinical teams to lead the development and delivery of the Trust's moving and handling training strategy, aiming to prevent and reduce musculoskeletal injuries among staff, thereby ensuring their health and safety, which in turn supports the provision of excellent patient care.
The successful candidate will have experience in training staff and will ideally possess train-the-trainer certificates for both moving and handling and the use of evacuation equipment.
The post holder will be responsible for;
- Acting as the Trust's competent person concerning the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 (as Amended) (MHOR).
- The day-to-day management and delivery of effective trust-wide systems and processes to effectively gather and act upon patient safety and quality of care information related to moving and handling, in line with current Government Legislation, Regulations, Policy Guidance, and good practice.
- Supporting a culture that improves quality by enabling the delivery of high-quality care through the effective identification of lessons/areas for improvement and promotion of learning as a result of data analysis and investigation, using audit and evaluation cycles to seek assurance.
