They provide advice and guidance and ensure that HSE is a positive cultural mindset and ensuring it is never taken for granted.


Role Details

Provide expert Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) support to the project, ensuring alignment with customer and stakeholder requirements, while adhering to legislative and regulatory standards. Actively engage as a vital member of the Program/Project/Operational Unit (OU), participating in EHS forums and collaborating with stakeholders, customers, and regulators as necessary.


Responsibilities

  • Assess EHS risks comprehensively and offer authoritative advice to stakeholders in compliance with legislation and site policies. Prepare technical reports to support recommendations when required.
  • Identify and address EHS concerns, advising on suitable measures and controls to safeguard the environment and ensure the secure execution of the Program/Project/OU's operational plan.
  • Conduct inspections, observations, and assurance activities to pinpoint EHS performance gaps, determine root causes, and propose corrective actions to enhance overall EHS performance.
  • Support Duty Holders in investigating EHS incidents, ensuring implementation of corrective actions, and facilitating knowledge sharing for organizational learning.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of relevant EHS legislation, site protocols, and standards.
  • Cultivate expertise in specific EHS hazards and associated controls within the Program/Project/OU.
  • Assist EHS Manager and Duty Holders in engagements with internal and external regulators (e.g., ONR, EA) and external organizations (e.g., WANO, RoSPA, LRQA).
  • Adhere to the Collaborative Management Plan and assist construction teams in understanding Service Level (SL) and EHS procedures and their implementation.
  • Evaluate processes and systems for compliance and suitability.
