If you are ready for a Team Leader’s position within an Integrated Public Health Nursing Service managing a progressive, forward thinking, and innovative team of Public Health Nurses then we would like to hear from you. A vacancy has arisen for a Locality Team Leader in the Brent Locality 0-19 service. This is a full-time post within the locality of Willesden.
In order to be eligible for this post, applicants must be a qualified Specialist Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) – Health Visiting.
Brent has a multi- cultural community, providing the opportunity to work with a diverse population As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and effective delivery of service and leadership with the implementation of the Healthy Child Programme within the Health Visiting Service and 0-5’s Core Programme.
Your role will be to manage and delegate work to a defined locality team, ensuring appropriate skills are used to plan and deliver public health care identified within the core programme. In addition, you will have an overview of the profiled health needs for the local community ensuring that the 0-19 service meets the needs of the local population that resources are utilised effectively, and any service gaps identified and addressed. This is to include meeting the requirements of the service level agreements and the school health profiles.
Current NMC registration is required for this role
You will be of support for members of the team and attend meetings as and when required and feedback to the Locality Lead and take on extra responsibilities within the service, as requested by the Locality Lead and Clinical Services Unit Manager (CSU).
You will provide professional leadership and management for the 0-19 Public Health Nursing Teams, particularly in relation to caseload management and leading the development of staff.
We work very closely with our partner agencies to enrich the mix of skills available and strengthen our position as a service provider. Working within the area of Willesden are Health Visitors, School Health Nurses, Community Nursery Nurses, Infant Feeding.
You need to have a passion for working with children, young people and families and have a comprehensive understanding of the Public Health Agenda in Brent. It is essential that you also have a thorough knowledge of the Healthy Child Programme (0-19), and Central London Community Healthcare Values.
