Following the success of our Autism and Suicide Prevention Project Here to Help, we have an exciting opportunity that will see us explore and expand our project aims to be of more help to more people!
The Here to Help Project outcomes will provide additional support to those with learning disabilities on topics such as health equality, health literacy, employment and education whilst continuing to support autistic people and promote suicide prevention.
Navigating life with autism and/or learning disabilities can be a unique and sometimes challenging journey and individuals can at times experience difficulties in finding tailored support and information. This adds an extra layer of complexity to their lives and requires a sensitive and informed approach.
We are expanding our range of materials that are shared in person and online and the role of Project Manager at Here to Help is to support the wider project team in the further development and implementation of project outcomes. Driving outcomes in Prevention, Education, De-stigmatisation, Empowerment and Support Networks and ensuring the stability and effectiveness of the project within SJOG.
The Project Manager will provide day to day management and leadership of the project and be responsible for providing a specialist service whereby by outcomes will be observed in quality, social value and impact. The Project Manager will have line management responsibilities for the Project Officer and report into the Head of Service Development & Quality.
Essential Criteria
- Level 5 qualification in Leadership & Management (or equivalent inc. demonstable professional experience)
- Sound working knowledge of autism and how this can impact on people
- Knowledge of mental health and wellbeing
- Ability to develop new service provision through to mobilisation and implementation
- Ability to work closely with a range of professionals and organisations
- Ability to design resource material
- Excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills
- Excellent understanding of engagement and co-production
- Good understanding and use of Microsoft Office (365)
