What you'll be doing
- To undertake routine and reactive safety inspections of the highway. Ensuring inspections are completed in accordance with the relevant timeframes and standard.
- To identify and record defects, assessing risk and raising applicable works orders.
- To manage enquiries, ensuring investigation and completion in accordance with relevant policies and procedures. Responding to customers in a professional manner.
- To undertake detailed inspections of the highway, recording all relevant information and selecting appropriate remedial actions.
- To fully investigate claims by 3rd parties for personal injury or damage to property. Ensuring all key information is collated, to support a robust defence.
- Attend regular meetings with local councillors, residents, and other stakeholders, ensuring a professional & collaborative approach.
- Collaboratively support delivery of other service elements, in Network Management and the Wider Contract.
- Support the implementation of effective processes, to maximise the recovery on green claims.
Who we're looking for
- Previous experience within Highways Inspections or Operations.
- A working knowledge of Highways Maintenance standards/policies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage customer expectations, in a polite and professional manner.
- Good IT skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritising, to ensure relevant deadlines and targets are achieved.
