We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic candidate to join our Paediatric Assessment Unit Team on a permanent contract working 2x days per week as rostered to provide housekeeping services to all patients, visitors, and staff on the unit.
This role will require the postholder to work occasionally on weekends and bank holidays.
The housekeeper’s main tasks will concentrate on the catering service ensuring the Paediatric Assessment Unit is a warm, comfortable, clean, and welcoming environment, and will assist in ensuring that patient needs are met.
Daily Objectives;
- Linen – Sufficient clean linen must be available on the ward to meet patient and staff needs at all times, with issues raised to the Ward Manager.
- Environment – There must be a high standard of cleanliness throughout the ward to assist with minimising the risk of infection with patients treated within an environment that is welcoming and complies with all Health & Safety legislation.
- Catering – To provide a catering service as required.
- Customer Care – All patients are entitled to receive the highest standard of care, and all individual privacy and dignity must be respected at all times.
- Communication – Effective communication must be used to ensure continuity of patient care.
- Equipment – All equipment must be kept in good working order, with any issues raised to the Ward Manager to ensure repairs are undertaken.
- Supplies - To assist in the maintenance of correct supply levels.
