This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in pursuing a career within Human Resources. You will experience a wide range of administrative activities which will include handling day to day queries, working on various HR processes supporting the preparation of employee contractual documents, and inputting into a variety of systems as required.
The role has a wide remit and effective administrative support is vital to the efficient running of the HR department and the service we provide to the Group business.
The HR Apprenticeship will be 18-24 months’ duration dependent on individual learner progression (with the possibility of the position being made permanent on successful completion of the programme).
Essential functions of the job:
• Pre-employment and new starter processes
• Support benefits and administration
• Preparation of employment contracts and documentation
• Maintaining and updating employee records on the HRIS system
• Ensuring data accuracy and compliance with GDPR.
• Responding to general queries whether face-to-face, via Teams, or by e-mail
• Administration and processing of candidate referencing and when required, FCA, security checks, and Fit and Proper Persons checks
• General HR administration duties including electronic filing, creation of electronic employee files, scanning, mail
• General support to HR Team members including room bookings, candidate management.
Skills required:
• GCSE (English and Maths)/A-level/Degree or equivalent.
• Possess a strong eye for detail, with a focus on accuracy.
• Display a positive approach to work.
• Demonstrate confidentiality and discretion at all times.
• Collaborative with effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Excellent organisation skills with ability to work at times without supervision.
Experience required:
• Experience of providing great customer service.
• Effective team-working skills.
• Ability to work with data and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ideal experience in the following areas:
Minimum 1 year within a HR and/or admin type role
