What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced HRIS Manager to be responsible for the firm's global people system (SelectHR) and to play a pivotal role in reviewing our HR technology platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and rolling out improvements, overseeing the delivery of regular management reporting requirements and working with HR colleagues to ensure data is accurate.

Working as part of the HR function, you will manage a team of 2 HRIS Analysts and oversee the day to day management of our current HRIS platform, SelectHR and reviewing our HR technology needs for the future. You will be responsible for ensuring SelectHR remains supported, focusing on system builds, applying patches/releases, data flows, security, reporting and analytics.

This role combines your technical excellence, HRIS system and business knowledge, helping to ensure our critical HR systems meet the needs of the firm both now and in the future.

Areas Of Focus And Responsibilities

Core HR systems

  • Ensure that HR data is captured timely, accurately, and consistently and that integrity is maintained
  • Identify, analyse, and correct technical issues
  • Lead and manage any mandatory upgrades, ensuring all patches are fully tested and applied
  • Act as the first point of contact for the IT and finance systems teams, building relationships and ensuring data is transferred and shared across the firm efficiently through integrations and accurate reporting
  • Develop, and maintain security and permissions architecture as defined by the firm
  • Oversee the delivery of regular reports to the business, assisting or providing guidance with writing reports where necessary. Oversee report design.
  • Instil best practice within the HRIS team, ensuring all functional and technical changes are documented and requirements are collated and signed off by the relevant business teams
  • Manage all SelectHR environments ensuring Test/UAT environments are regularly refreshed
  • Manage and coordinate global and regional systems projects, leading change management and training activities as necessary
  • Allocate HRIS resources to plan and manage high intensity annual processes, such as appraisals and salary reviews
  • Monitor and enhance service delivery standards to ensure Service Level Agreements with Access (Vendor) are met or exceeded
  • Acts as Technical Lead for SelectHR, producing functional and technical specifications for agreed development work and working with team to prioritize and manage development requests
  • Act as an escalation point for system issues, working to resolve issues in a timely and proactive manner
  • Manage all relevant project management tools, RAID, Actions logs, providing direction to HRIS team on activities and priorities

Future development of HR systems

  • Act as the Technical lead on any new HRIS implementation
  • Participate in discussions regarding future systems by evaluating current systems and making recommendations aimed at streamlining processes and enhancing user experience
  • Project manage all system updates and upgrades across the firm ensuring changes are thoroughly tested and communicated
  • Working closely with the data lead to ensure data migration and integrations to the new HRIS are fully tested and implemented
  • Play an active role in firm wide discussions regarding Data Governance
  • Fully utilise the capabilities of the system by looking at additional functionality whilst improving the use of existing functionality and managing the change associated with this
  • Work closely with the finance systems team to enhance people reporting and continuously develop

  • Look for new ways to improve processes and services, analysing options and presenting

  • Work with the IT team to roll out upgrades and development of the system
  • Identify reporting and systems improvement opportunities and work to implement and roll out changes

Project management

  • Responsible for the delivery of HRIS BAU projects
  • Consult with and challenge relevant stakeholders to ensure the right systems solutions are delivered
  • Provide HR systems input and expertise to other cross functional projects

Other tasks

  • Maintain confidentiality of data and departmental security at all times. This includes data such as absence, turnover, grades and salary/bonus figures
  • Ensure the firm maintains it compliance with relevant legislation, including the Global Data Protection Regulations
  • Undertake other duties commensurate with the role.

Skills And Experience

  • Previous HRIS systems experience at manager level is essential
  • Previous team management experience is essential
  • Implemented and managed Global HR systems in previous roles
  • Experience with SelectHR
  • Worked with global stakeholders to gather requirements and map HR processes
  • Excellent Excel and skills to interpret and manage complex data
  • Strong experience with reporting tools (PowerBi preferred)
  • Project management qualification (eg. Prince 2) or experience desirable
  • Degree qualified or equivalent experience
  • Technically minded with the ability to pick up and adapt to systems quickly
  • Experience within legal or professional service firms preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills
  • Flexible approach and proactive manner to all work and tasks
  • People centric approach
  • Analytical with strong ability to create, manipulate and interpret management information and data
  • Approachable and able to build a rapport quickly

The Essentials

  • 930am to 530pm but flexibility is a must
  • Hybrid working with 2-3 days per week worked from the office
  • 12 week probation period
