Job Type: Contract

Duration: 16 Months - 66 Months

Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: Up to £70.00 p/h - Umbrella

Location: Remote, Occasional travel to Devonport

Hours of work: 37 hours Mon-Friday

Applicants must have experience of the following:

• Degree in Psychology
• MSc in Occupational Psychology, Applied Psychology or Industrial Psychology
• Significant experience in a highly regulated industry
• Good understanding of nuclear safety assessment principles and safety case production
• Familiar with HF qualitative and quantitative HRA techniques
• Experienced in the application of human factors knowledge in support of the engineering system and process design
• Able to deliver work packages against tight deadlines
• Able to gain SC clearance

Role information:

• Provide professional support to the Principle Human Factors Engineer
• Provide support to the development and mentoring of junior team members
• Carry out human factors assessment work in support of ergonomic design development, safety assessment and the validation of the human performance elements of high hazard systems
• Prepare work scopes, cost estimates and programmes for human factors assessment work to be undertaken
• Check HF assessment work undertaken by other team members
• Engage with regulatory bodies on HF related issues
