I am working with a leading London market insurer where they are looking for an IFRS 17 Accountant to support the technical team with preparation of financial information across the Group as well as management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly consolidated management reporting, including balance sheet and income statement, MI analysis, trend investigation, and query resolution.
• Produce UK GAAP to IFRS 17 reconciliation to support management review of results.
• Prepare half and full year IFRS 17 group reporting templates.
• Update the IFRS 17 reporting timetable.
• Prepare internal reports, account reconciliations, and analyses to explain IFRS 17 results, including ad hoc requirements from Group.
• Support the audit process, liaising with internal and external auditors accurately and on time.

Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CAANZ, ICAI, ICAS qualified accountant.
• Extensive experience in preparation of consolidated financial statements, and technical reporting under IFRS 17, as well as Group reporting.
• Relevant experience in IFRS/UK GAAP insurance financial reporting.
• Exposure to IFRS 17 financial reporting within a Lloyd’s Syndicate.
• Experience with London Syndicate accounting and reporting desirable.
• SII experience - desirable.
