Indirect Tax Manager

I’m excited to be working with a c£0.5Bn TO, leading Sports Group with a global reach, in South Berkshire. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to add an Indirect Tax Manager to the group Finance department.

You will be Reporting to the Head of Tax, providing Tax support and advice across the business.

As the successful candidate, your duties will include:

• Managing UK and global indirect tax returns, and the overall group tax position
• Partnering with tax authorities and external tax advisors
• Managing the withholding tax process, working with external advisors
• Forecasting cash tax payments for budgets and long-term planning
• Enhancing the indirect tax process, identifying improvements
• Identifying and managing tax risks and improvements
• Monitoring and reviewing group tax compliance processes
• Supporting global tax audits
• Reviewing Balance Sheet reconciliations for VAT and withholding tax
• Identifying ERP and other system improvements
• Supporting the Head of Tax, providing tax advice to the group
• Advising the group on legislation updates
• Delivering training to the group, ensuring tax awareness
• Supporting global tax projects
• Supporting intercompany transactions and documentation

To be successful, you will need to have / be:

• Qualified or studying towards an Accounting and/or Tax qualification
• Exposure to international tax and/or indirect tax would be beneficial
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, with good commercial awareness
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Skills to support a complex environment with multiple deliverables in the pipeline.
