As the IT Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing technology strategies to support the firm's operations and ensure the efficient delivery of legal services. You will lead Junior Support Engineer supporting 150 users and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to enhance the technology infrastructure, optimise processes, and drive innovation. This is a very hands on role!
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, ensuring the reliable performance of systems, networks, and applications.
- Lead a junior IT Support Engineer providing guidance, mentoring, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
- Evaluate and implement technology solutions leveraging the Microsoft technology stack, including Azure, to enhance productivity, efficiency, and data security.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of IT services.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, to understand their technology needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance, data privacy, and information security.
- Monitor and manage the IT budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost optimization.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in the legal industry or professional services.
- Strong knowledge of legal-specific software applications (e.g., document management systems, case management software).
- Expertise in managing complex IT projects, including software implementation, infrastructure upgrades, and system integrations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including the Microsoft technology stack
- Azure cloud services.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure, security protocols, and data privacy regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing IT team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
