Insurance Broking Accounts Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented IBA Client Account Handler with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a London Markets broking house. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of insurance accounting practices, excellent reconciliation skills, and preferably working knowledge of GXB (Global XB) or similar broking platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

•Manage client and insurer accounts in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.

•Perform account reconciliations and resolve queries in a timely manner.

•Ensure accurate allocation of cash receipts and payments to client accounts.

•Liaise with brokers, underwriters, and internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies.

•Maintain and reconcile client and insurer ledgers.

•Assist with month-end and year-end financial closings.

•Monitor aged debt and unallocated cash items, and take proactive steps for resolution.

•Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and company procedures.

•Utilize GXB or similar broking systems to manage and track client accounts (desirable).

Requirements:

•Minimum 3 years of experience in an IBA (Insurance Broking Accounts) role within the London insurance market.

•Strong understanding of IBA accounting processes, reconciliation, and cash allocation.

•Familiarity with GXB or other broking/accounting platforms is highly desirable.

•Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

•High level of numeracy and attention to detail.

•Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

•Knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance standards.
