What to expect

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Integration Engineering function to join as a Leading Integration DevOps Engineer. Within this role you will be critical in setting the culture and working practices of the team, working closely with the Head of Integration Engineering to set the standards of the group.

As the Integration DevOps Engineer you must be able to build and operate fast and scalable workflows. The remit is wide ranging including Implementation and Delivery of cloud products and services, configuration management, Infrastructure as Code template development, Testing and Troubleshooting.

What you’ll need to succeed

As an experienced DevOps Engineer who will play a vital role within the Integration Engineering function you will have:

• A strong background in mentoring and coaching technical resources

• Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.

• Experience building sophisticated and highly automated infrastructure.

• Prior success in automating a real-world production environment.

• Experience with configuration management tooling Ansible in production environments with many nodes.

• Strong scripting skills, i.e., Powershell, Python, Bash, Go etc.

• Familiar in development language like Typescript / JS

• Experience with IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewalling.

• Experience with any monitoring tools like DataDog, New Relic, Nagios, Incinga, SiteScope, etc.

• Experience with revision control source code repositories (Git, SVN, Mercurial, Perforce, etc.).

• Management of continuous integration servers like GitHub Actions, Spinnaker, Argo Workflow and Argo CD

• Experience with seamless/automated build scripts used for release management across all environments.

• Experience with automated testing tools (i.e. Selenium, JMeter).

• Understanding and experience with code deployment (tagging).

• Understanding and Implementation of Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA and REST).
