Interim Finance Director – PE backed Tech - Day rate - £700-£950/day - Hybrid London 1 day/week

A rapidly expanding business is looking for an experienced Interim Finance Director to support the continued development of its finance function during a period of transformation. This 6-month contract position reports directly to the CFO, with potential for extension.

Following significant recent growth through acquisition, the business is focusing on ensuring its financial infrastructure is optimised for long-term success. This role will be key in strengthening financial controls, improving reporting efficiency, and creating a more structured and compliant finance function that can support future growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Internal Controls & Compliance: Implement a robust control framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and creating a finance function that is audit-ready.
• Financial Reporting & Process Improvement: Enhance financial reporting processes, reducing reporting timelines and ensuring accurate, timely submissions to stakeholders.
• Operational Stability: Work closely with the CFO and senior leadership to streamline financial processes and strengthen the overall finance function.
• Leadership & Change Management: Lead and mentor the finance team through a period of change, embedding a culture of discipline and continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate:

• ACA-qualified with strong technical expertise in IFRS, financial reporting, and controls.
• Experience in fast growth businesses, with a focus on internal controls and compliance.
• Proven experience in stabilising and improving finance functions in high-growth environments.
• A hands-on leader with experience driving change, improving processes, and enhancing financial efficiency.
• Availability within 2 weeks
