  • Prepare statutory financial statements under IFRS/UK GAAP
  • Own the general ledger, ensuring robust internal controls and policy compliance
  • Oversee corporation tax, VAT and other tax requirements
  • Partner with FP&A to support budgets, forecasts, and investor reporting
  • Provide technical accounting expertise on complex transactions, M&A, and regulatory developments
  • Support the CFO with board materials, business cases, and financial analysis

Audit & Compliance

  • Lead the external audit process across all group entities
  • Deliver a clean, efficient year-end close with audit-ready documentation
  • Ensure full compliance with FCA regulatory reporting, including GABRIEL/RegData submissions
  • Maintain and enforce policies around client money (CASS) and capital adequacy

Operational Finance & Systems

  • Oversee transactional finance operations – AP, commissions, reconciliations
  • Champion process improvements and system automation to scale with growth
  • Play a key role in finance systems development, particularly with NetSuite

Leadership & People

  • Lead and develop the financial control team, setting clear goals and promoting high performance
  • Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement

✅ What We’re Looking For:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with 8+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Must have Payments experience
  • Deep expertise in group finance, statutory reporting, and audit within payments, fintech, or financial services.
  • Hands-on knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP with experience in multi-entity, international environments.
  • Demonstrable success in leading audits, improving internal controls, and streamlining operations.
  • Strong command of NetSuite and experience in scaling systems and finance infrastructure.
  • A pragmatic, detail-focused leader who thrives in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence across senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working at both strategic and operational levels, and rolling up sleeves when needed.
