Our team in Glasgow currently has an opening for an Internal Account Manager within the Food Team.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Client Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong, trusting relationships to ensure long-term loyalty.
- Understand Client Needs: Deeply understand each client’s specific goals, needs, and challenges to offer tailored solutions that add value.
- Manage Sales Cycle and Account Growth: Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts, such as upselling or cross-selling, and ensure that sales targets are met.
- Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve any client issues or complaints promptly and effectively to maintain high satisfaction.
- Coordinate with Internal Teams: Collaborate with other departments (such as sales, marketing, customer service, and operations) to ensure client expectations are met and deliverables are timely and of high quality.
- Report and Analyse Performance: Prepare account performance reports, track key metrics, and analyse results to optimise account management strategies.
- Identify New Business Opportunities: Spot potential growth opportunities, whether by expanding current accounts or bringing in new business based on existing relationships.
- Meet Targets and KPIs: Ensure that sales targets and other KPIs are achieved, such as customer retention rates and satisfaction levels.
- Maintain Records in CRM: Keep client information up-to-date in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, ensuring that all data is accurate and accessible for the team
Experience:
- Previous experience as an Account Manager within the Food industry or similar
- Proven track record in building sales figures and margins within a competitive and mature market
- Experience of B2B Sales
