Consulting brings together multiple teams across Transactions, Risk & Consulting, ABA, and Outsourcing to provide client-centric solutions for RSM’s current and future clients within the middle market. Our Consulting team has a major role to play in driving forward the growth of the firm with over 1,700 people delivering almost £200m revenue.

As a Principal Consultant within Internal Audit, you will be responsible for undertaking a range of complex and specialist audits at client's sites, in accordance with our Internal Audit standards. Working as an individual and leading a team to deliver high quality Internal Audits within required timescales and budgets.
In delivering internal audit and risk assurance services, you will be a strong ambassador for the RSM brand, promoting brand awareness and upholding high ethical standards of business that protect the brand, the UK firm, its staff and its clients.
You will make an impact by:
- Assisting in the management of a range of clients, including building relationships with senior client contacts. This responsibility includes strategic and operational audit planning and delivery, WIP control, supervision and oversight of the team.
- Producing high quality written reports on work undertaken during reviews and effectively supervising junior team members to produce reports of a similar standard.
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders across a wide variety of clients.
- Managing, performing and controlling internal audit assignments, embracing assignment planning programming, conduct and control of audit work and reporting findings.
- Manage, perform and control more complex internal audit assignments & carry out Quality Assurance reviews of working papers and draft reports to ensure compliance with the Internal Audit Manual.

- Professionally Qualified (CIA, CMIIA, ACA or ACCA or international equivalent)
- Previous experience of working in internal audit with public sector clients.
- Confidently able to represent the Firm in audit matters as required, including attendance at client meetings, Audit Committees and tender presentations.
- Ability to review and control technical content of work of others to ensure compliance with relevant UK regulation and Internal Audit Standards.
