What do the team do?
The Audit & Assurance team predominately undertake audit and other assurance work on behalf of our clients, however, they are also responsible for accounts preparation and tax computations too. We have audit clients across a range of sectors around the UK, from smaller not-for-profit organisations to entrepreneurial SME's and through to large listed groups.
In this role you will manage manage both UK-based staff and overseas outsourced teams, to ensure the production of high quality accounts preparations. This will involve the full control of workforce planning, WIP management and billings.
What will I be doing?
As an
International Operations Director you will have ownership of the following tasks:
- Developing and implementing efficient processes for managing work performed by overseas teams.
- Leading on relationships with outsourced partners, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
- Demonstrating commercial awareness in fee development and cross-selling additional services to clients, including outsourced finance functions.
- Ensuring all team members, both locally and remotely, work within agreed budgets while maintaining high standards.
- Taking responsibility for service quality and output, proactively addressing operational challenges.
- Improving workflow efficiency by leveraging technology, optimizing processes, and integrating new knowledge into team operations.
- Developing and execute training programs for both teams to ensure high technical competency and consistency in output.
What experience do I need?
Whilst having the following experience is advantageous, we value passion and potential. If you meet the minimum criteria listed below and are eager to develop yourself, we would love to hear from you:
- ACA/ACCA fully qualified, with extensive experience in managing outsourced accounting operations (minimum criteria).
- Strong understanding of Corporation Tax, VAT, and Personal Tax (minimum criteria).
- Expertise in managing large-scale portfolios and complex workflow planning with outsourced teams.
- Experience in reviewing accounts produced offshore and ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards.
- Proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems, including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks Online, and workflow management tools.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire teams across different locations.
- Proven ability to problem-solve and deal with operational challenges.
