International Tax and Global Mobility Manager

We are looking for an International Tax Manager to join our growing tax team. This is a new role with a great opportunity to play a key part in our international expansion. The role will have a broad range of responsibilities with a significant Global Mobility focus and managing day to day tax queries and advice as we expand into new countries via Engine. You will work alongside senior members of the tax, finance, payroll and legal teams to support and lead the group's international corporation tax, indirect tax and employment tax affairs from an advisory, structuring and compliance perspective.

Responsibilities

• Development of the Group's global mobility programme. This will include drafting tax policies and controls, identifying/managing risk, and supporting international employees with all tax-related aspects of working overseas including secondments from the UK
• Main point of contact for global mobility queries which will involve building strong relationships with the employees and the business departments you are supporting
• Managing the relationship with our global mobility providers. This includes agreeing scopes of work, fees and ensuring all services are billed on a timely basis and in line with budget.
• Advising on international social security and obtaining certificates of coverage.
• With the support of advisors, establishing local country payrolls for overseas employees, assisting with local employment tax compliance and managing Appendix 4 and 8 reporting requirements
• Co-ordinating specialist international tax structuring and expansion advice, and working closely with senior members of the tax team to project manage the advice required across all of the taxes.
• Your role will likely include assisting with internal ad hoc tax advice across the business including preparation of internal memos and training material
• You may also support the group's direct and indirect tax compliance both in the UK and internationally, including the preparation of transfer pricing documentation, Country-By-Country Reporting and the preparation of Pillar 2 calculations.
  
  
  

Requirements

• A strong tax and finance background, gained in practice and/or industry
• Global Mobility experience
• UK or international corporation tax, indirect tax and employment tax experience is desirable, but not essential
• Enthusiasm and a drive to expand your knowledge in new areas is as important as experience
• Professional Qualification desirable but not essential: ACA, ACCA, CTA or ADIT are preferable
• A self-starter and independent worker with strong interpersonal skills
• Well organised with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines with attention to detail, including strong project management skills to co-ordinate advice across the team.
• Adaptable and flexible with an ability to adjust quickly according to changing demand and priorities
• A practical and commercial approach to problem solving, and the ability to communicate complex tax matters to both a tax and non-tax audience
