Description

Role Summary:

Due to the continuous growth of our business, Transmission Investment is looking to recruit a full-time Investment Manager to join the Origination team responsible for driving Transmission Investment’s origination efforts across multiple electricity infrastructure sectors including OFTOs (brownfield offshore wind transmission assets), CATOs (onshore transmission projects under a competitive regime), interconnectors, grid stability assets (such as synchronous compensators), and any emerging investment sectors (the “Target Sectors”). The Investment Manager will manage the development of investment cases, coordinate and structure financing processes, and assist in the associated commercial negotiations that underpin equity investment and project financing across the Target Sectors.

As a mid-level team member, the role will involve close engagement with internal technical, commercial, finance, delivery and operations teams as well as external stakeholders including lenders, advisors, investors, and consortium partners. The Investment Manager will also play a key role in preparing internal governance documentation, leading investment committee papers, and overseeing financial modelling activities. This role offers exposure to the full investment lifecycle, from early-stage bid strategy through to financial close and operational handover.

The role will be based in the City of London with only occasional travel within the UK necessary. Transmission Investment also has a flexible working policy.

The role will report to a Senior Investment Manager within the Origination team.

About Transmission Investment:

Founded in 2011, Transmission Investment manages one of the largest offshore electricity transmission portfolios globally, connecting over 4,000MW of offshore wind from eleven GB wind farms and a grid stability synchronous compensator at Blackhillock, Scotland. In 2025, Transmission Investment was acquired by TAQA, one of the largest listed integrated utility companies in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (ADX: TAQA), as part of its international growth strategy while contributing to the UK’s 2050 Net Zero programme and TAQA’s wider sustainability ambitions.
